Ang Thong National Marine Park in Surat Thani Province will temporarily close to visitors and overnight stays from November 1 to December 15, 2026, for 45 days. The annual closure is intended to allow the natural environment to recover and to support maintenance and restoration work within the national park.
Why Is Ang Thong Marine Park Closing?
The closure period coincides with the northeast monsoon season in the Gulf of Thailand, when strong winds and waves can make sea travel unsafe.
Ang Thong Marine Park closes during this period every year to help protect and restore its natural resources after the busy tourist season. The temporary closure gives the sea, coral reefs, beaches, and surrounding ecosystems time to recover.
Ang Thong Marine Park Closure Dates 2026
The park will be closed from:
November 1 – December 15, 2026
During this period, visitors will not be allowed to enter the park for sightseeing, snorkeling, kayaking, or overnight stays.
